Sewing for Ukraine
In Ekelhof at Claralaan 38 in Eindhoven, 140 Ukrainian refugees live.
Since 2022, the "ZichZach" workshop has also been located there. ZichZach is a sewing club that, through donations, offers the women there the opportunity to relax. Various fabrics, sewing machines, haberdashery, and other items have been donated by shopkeepers and private individuals in recent years.
The ladies are currently busy making boxer shorts, due to demand from Ukraine. But... even though they're working day and night, it's still a drop in the bucket. That's why I'd like to invite you to also make pre-cut boxer shorts. They're intended for hospitals in Ukraine, where there's a HUGE shortage of underwear. Read more below the photo...

Each bag contains 5 pre-cut shorts with 5 size labels. The shorts can be sewn with an English seam or a serger. A 3cm hem is added to the waistband for the elastic. Please also mark the elastic opening (mark with a ballpoint pen). The ladies at Ekelhof will thread the elastic into the trousers themselves. Please hem the legs slightly.
The packages can be picked up at Harrie Bosch and the sewn boxer shorts can also be returned there.
